Session 1

Expect God to do the impossible

From Gauntlet: An 8-Day Prayer Guide

Today, thousands of students and leaders are packing their bags for a week in Daytona Beach. For the next five days, students from every campus will come together to learn, sing, pray, and have a whole lot of fun.

Everyone — from the staff to the band to the hundreds of volunteers who lead rooms of students — have prepared all year for this week. We’ve asked God to direct every idea and plan for this trip.

As students and leaders prepare for tomorrow’s bus ride, we’re asking God to prepare their hearts for life change. Some on this trip need a relationship with Jesus. For others, the Lord might use this week to shift their career or college plans or set them free from sin. God works in incredible ways during this week, so we’re praying for students and leaders to have open hearts and minds to hear what God wants to speak to them.

Ephesians 3:20-21 tells us God can do far more than we have ever imagined. He is working even when we can’t see it. As a church, we’re praying and expecting God to do far more than we could ever imagine during this week. Would you pray with us?

How to Pray Today:

  • Pray that leaders and students would hear and respond to God’s voice this week.
  • Pray for room leaders and volunteers to have the discernment and wisdom they need to care for students well.
  • Pray that God would bless the hard work and planning that went into making Gauntlet a reality.
