Our Great God

Listen to “Our Great God"  then read the following: 

Have you ever hoped one thing could fix all your problems? We often think all our worries would be solved if we just had more money, more time or more control.

A bigger paycheck or more hours doesn’t fix everything. We can try harder, but our own efforts won’t change our lives permanently.

Following Jesus changes our direction, but it doesn’t mean all our problems go away immediately. The day after you decide to follow Jesus, you will have difficulties and still struggle with sin. The difference is you now have the ability to overcome through Jesus. He’s with you in the midst of your troubles.

Our weaknesses aren’t a surprise to God. He knows we will struggle. We can make it through tough times not because of our efforts, but because of God’s power in us.

We can be confident Jesus is with us and for us. He fights for us against sin. Rather than judgment or rejection, we can expect God will show us love and kindness because He never gives up on us.

What difficulties are you facing today? Ask Jesus to help you through this tough time.
